This is your time to unlock your superhero powers and save the world! Gold Coast Superhero Weekend is flying to Broadbeach on Friday 21 April to Sunday 23 April 2017. This overloaded and fantastic weekend will comprise of the Supanova Pop Culture Expo, Gold Coast Film Festival and a whole lot of action-packed events for both the young and the young at heart.
Tons of free activities await everyone for the three-day celebration of everything supernatural and super fun. There will be movies in the Park, the Supanova Superhero Parade, a Star Wars Interactive Zone, Meet & Greets and plenty more for the whole family to enjoy.
The weekend will kick off with a free screening of Disney Pixar’s “The Incredibles” in Victoria Park, plus a jumping castle, face painting, balloon artist and live music from 4 pm.
The second day will witness comic book superheroes and Jedi’s join forces for an energy-filled day. Drop by Oasis Shopping Centre to meet your favourite Marvel superheroes from 10 am. Afterward, journey to a galaxy light years away as Victoria Park will hold free Star Wars Immersive Zone from 3pm with Jedi Training, Asteroid Field Obstacle Challenge and more! Saturday will end epic with a special screening of animation ‘Star Wars: The Clone Wars’ from 6 pm to top off the day.
And on Sunday, put on your cape, dust off your boots and pull on you best superhero cosplay dress for the much awaited Supanova Superhero Parade. The enormous parade of comic book vigilantes, movie superheroes and aliens from an unknown planet will literally stop traffic on April 23 from 9 am and gather people for an event like no other.
